USI PRISM ULTRA-COAT Product Line
The Prism Ultra-Coat is a line of programmable spray coatings systems designed for precision application of a wide variety of coatings. The Prism systems feature USI's patented nozzle-free ultrasonic spray technology, which is industry proven and delivers more precise coating application than conventional spray nozzles. Ultra-Spray coating heads employ ultrasonic energy to produce the spray and a low pressure directed air stream to shape and focus the pattern.
The Prism Ultra-Coat is available in three custom configurable platforms: the Prism 100 Series; the Prism 300/400 Series; and the Prism 1000/2000 Series. The Prism 100 is designed for the quick and efficient coating of an entire substrate. The Prism 300/400 is designed for the application of conformal coatings to selected areas of a printed circuit board. The Prism 1000/2000 is designed for other selective coating applications including fluxes, conductive inks, adhesives, and many more. The innovative Prism platforms with Ultra-Spray technology provide a solution to nearly every coating requirement.

SPRAY COATING TECHNOLOGY
The Prism Ultra-Coat is a line of programmable spray coating systems designed for a variety of precision applications; conformal coating, semiconductor coating, fuel cell coating, medical coating and solar cell coating. Motion and Positioning System
The Prism employes a precision X-Y-Z-θ motion control system. The X-Y motion and positioning system consists of precision ball screw linear actuators with digital AC closed loop servo drive motors. A programmable 4th axis θ motion is standard with the Prism 450.

Control System
The Prism system is programmed using USI's Ultra-Coat Software. This proprietary software is supplied with the system on a PC that uses a Windows 2000/XP operating system. The PC contains a multi-axis PCI motion drive system that controls the X-Y-Z-θ gantry. The Ultra-Coat software consists of a graphical user interface (GUI) that allows the user to operate all functions of the Prism including calibration and setup, manual control, diagnostics, creating and editing process programs and general operation of the Prism system.
